April Lafferty

Marketing and Publicity

April Lafferty is the Hospitality Librarian for the Information and Research Services Department at Florida International University’s Hubert Library in North Miami, FL. She holds a BA in History from the University of Florida and an MLIS from the University of South Florida. Her research interests include library outreach and marketing and reducing library anxiety in students. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, anything outdoors, cuddling with her cats, and hanging out with her family.

She looks forward to working as the Marketing and Publicity Chair to spread news and information about DCLA and also help connect library professionals in Miami-Dade county.
